New cast
One bone seems to have healed - the one that was only broken halfway across, rather than separated in two. So, I now have a finger back. Also, when getting the new cast, I asked if there was a way to reduce the rough edges. There is, and any final rough spots could, apparently, be taken care of with a nail file. I can knit again! BUT - ever so slowly. The sweater - doing it front-back-front the way I am - normally was taking me about ten minutes (cables) to work across the whole row. Faster on the wrong side rows, where I could knit the knits, purl the purls. Well, last night, it took me 15 minutes to do about a quarter of the row... very very slow! A bit awkward, too...
Oh, well... I will be getting this cast off again in 3 weeks, and the doctor thinks I won't need another one after that. :) I can hardly wait!
